I've been making more pumpkins with the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die again.
This time I've made a banner.
To make the Pumpkins:
- Cut a piece of Pumpkin Pie 8-1/2 x 11 cardstock in half at 5-1/2" and put the two pieces together.
- Set up on the Big Shot - magnetic plate, cutting plate, cardstock, the Curvy Keepsake Thinlits Die, cutting plate. Run through the Big Shot to cut.
- Two pieces are cut and scored.
- You will need strong adhesive to put the two pieces together. I used Stampin' Up!'s Fast Fuse.
- Line up the scored lines and adhere together making sure that the same tabs are opposite of one another.
- At this point, I stamped the outside of my box using the line image from the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and Pumpkin Pie ink.
- The next step is to gently curl the box using a bone folder. This helps with closing the box.
- Put the two handles together and slide one slotted side over the handles and then the other. Before closing completely, this is where you would add a little treat if you were using the box as a favor.
So simple to put together!
- To decorate the box I cut two leaves using the Autumn Accents Bigz die.
- Set up on the Big Shot - cutting plate, die, cardstock, cutting plate. Run through the Big Shot to cut the leaves.
- I wanted leaves to look like a leaf so using my bone folder, I scored lines.
- After scoring, fold along the middle score line and shape the leaf.
- To make the vine I cut a very thin piece of cardstock and using my Paper Piercing Tool, rolled the strip of cardstock, first one end and then the other.
- This is what it looks like after folding in half.
- I used Glue Dots to adhere the leaves and vine to my pumpkin box.
- Once I had all my little pumpkins done, I tied them onto a length of the Natural & Old Olive Two-Tone Trim ( in the Holiday Catalog ), using Linen Thread.
- The tags are were cut using the thinlit tag shape which is a part of the Curvy Keepsake dies. I tied pieces of Burlap Ribbon between the pumpkins and used a Glue Dot to adhere the little tags.
- I also tied a wooden leaf from the Autumn Wooden Elements, on the Burlap Ribbon. What a fun Fall decor item for the home, or in this case, for my studio.
