Happy Hello Simply Sent Box

Yesterday I shared with you cards made with the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card kit. Today's sample uses the card to make a box!

How cute is this! A box made from the card? Yes, and it's so easy to do!

Using the Simply Scoring Tool ( Stampin' Up! of course ) lay the card down with the point facing to the left and score at 3".

Turn so the point is at the top and score at 1-1/4" and 4-3/4".

Fold on all score lines and cut up two lines on both sides so that you can fold into a box.

Add Sticky Strip and fold into the box

So simple. I made 3x3 cards to place inside along with envelopes. A great little gift for someone!

Only a few short weeks left to be able to get the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit for free with a qualifying order. It's time to go shopping!

Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit

Sale a Bration is in full swing. However, there are only a few short weeks to take advantage of FREE product with a qualifying purchase! FREE product! Who doesn't love something free. One of the free choices is the Happy Hello Simply Sent Card Kit. In the kit you get:
  • 8 printed, die-cut cards ( 4 printed with "Hello" greeting and 4 blank
  • 8 printed custom die-cut envelopes
  • 24 Daffodil Delight cardstock sticker flowers
  • 8 Basic Gray cardstock sticker strips
  • 8 pieces precut Bsic Gray Baker's Twine - exclusive to the kit!
  • 8 adhesive backed rhinestones

I love the detail of the envelope and how easy it is to put a card together with this kit! I chose one of the blank cards and stamped a Happy Birthday sentiment from Curly Cute stamp set.

For this sample I cut the preprinted card in half and adhered the front to a Basic Gray card.
I added more flowers for an extra wow! The Basic Gray Bakers Twine is pre-cut to a perfect length to go around the card.

Nothing goes to waste! I used the back of the card that I cut in half for the inside. I usually put a neutral piece of cardstock on the inside of my cards - especially if the cardstock is dark. It is easier to see what is written inside : )

So, with a qualifying purchase, you can choose this adorable kit! Head on over to my website and click the SHOP NOW button and have fun shopping!

Happy Birthday Card Samples

In my blog post from yesterday which you can see HERE, I mentioned that I would show how I used parts of the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit to make other samples. Here are two that I made.
As you can see I used the cross-stitched cupcake and cut it out with one of the shapes from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set. I also cut one of the printed cards in the kit to use as a layered piece on this card. I wanted a vintage feel to the card so I used a Paper Doily and sponged it with Crumb Cake ink. The bow uses leftover thread from the kit and the Happy Birthday was stamped and then cut free hand. I love the look of this card!

For this card I used the printed card as my base and the Best of Birthdays stamp set. For the banners I used my favorite paper- Print Poetry Designer Paper Stack. This card makes me smile and I hope it puts a smile on the face of the person who receives it as well!

Sweet Threads Simply Sent Bundle

I was playing around with the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit that is in the Stampin' Up! Spring Catalog. What a sweet kit it is! The kit contains die-cut patterned pieces with holes that you cross-stitch! 4 cupcakes and 4 tulips. How fun!!
I'm a little rusty with my cross-stitching skills but I think it turned out pretty good. I sat in front of the TV and did the cross-stitching. The base of the cupcake was less challenging to do : ) There are printed cards in the kit as well - adorable! I used the stamps from the Essentials stamp set for my sentiment. You can buy the kit as a bundle to include the stamp set and save 15%.

This is the tulip and I just added ribbon and a background piece to jazz it up a bit. This would be a fun way to learn to cross-stitch or a great little kit to give to someone special. Check back tomorrow for card samples I made using pieces from the kit in a different way.

Oh Hello, Thank You Card

I do like how this card turned out. I started with a piece of Print Poetry Designer paper - I LOVE that stack of paper, it's a must have in your collection of designer papers! The doily was to white so I sponged with Crumb Cake ink. I had a scrap piece of embossed card stock and was able to stamp the Thanks So Much right on top. Normally I would stamp first, then emboss but this worked just fine. I sponged again to bring out the embossed image which really gave it that vintage look.
The ribbon I choose is the Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon. I pulled the edges to scrunch it up and then added the Vintage Faceted buttons - which I love ( I use that word a lot ). The pearls in the center finished the look!

Supplies Used
Stamps - Oh Hello
Card Stock - Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla
Paper - Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack

25th Anniversary Blog Tour

Welcome to my blog and the 25th Anniversary Blog Tour featuring Best of Birthdays.  I hope you enjoy my samples!

It's always a fun surprise for the recipient of the card to find the inside stamped as well.

Supplies Used
Stamp Set - Best of Birthdays
Card Stock - Indigo Island, Daffodil Delight, Whisper White
Ink - Black StazOn, Indigo Island, Real Red and the following Stampin' Write Markers - Daffodil Delight, Indigo Island, Real Red, Tangerine Tango
Paper - Summer Smooches
Accessories - Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder for the Big Shot

My daughter received a thank you card with this layout and I really liked it so I got to work making this card. I started by picking the designer paper which gave me my color scheme. That makes it so easy!

The insert slides out and that is where the message is written. Cute idea? I think so.

Supplies Used
Stamps - Best of Birthdays
Card Stock - Marina Mist, Lucky Limeade, Night of Navy
Ink - Night of Navy, Lucky Limeade, Marina Mist, Summer Starfruit
Paper - Poetic Prints Designer Series Paper Stack
Accessories - 3/8" Striped Organdy Ribbon Marina Mist

I thought this card could be used for any occasion that needs celebrating! A birthday, anniversary, new job - What else?

Supplies Used
Stamps - Best of Birthdays, All Dressed Up
Card Stock - Raspberry Ripple, Basic Black, Whisper White, Brushed Silver
Ink - Black StazOn, Basic Black and Raspberry Ripple Stampin' Write Marker
Accessories - Vintage Faceted Designer Buttons, 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon Basic Black, Fancy Fan Embossing Folder for the Big Shot

This is my favorite ; ) I'm loving the Flower Trim and how easy it is to change the color to coordinate with the colors in the card. The flowers are vanilla. I took a sponge dauber and dipped it into the ink pad and sponged the flowers. One or two dabs is all they needed. Voila!

Supplies Used
Stamps - Best of Birthdays
Card Stock - Lucky Limeade, Very Vanilla
Ink - Lucky Limeade, primrose Petals
Paper - Tea for Two Designer Series Paper
Accessories - Designer Frames Embossing Folder, Labels Framelits, Extra-Large Oval Punch, Vanilla Seam Binding Ribbon, Flower Trim, Pearls, Sponge Daubers
