Aviary

Aviary is one of my favorite stamp sets and I am sad to see it being retired from the Stampin' Up! Catalog. How cute is that little owl in the birdcage! There is still time to purchase the set if you can't resist that little owl and those adorable birdcages. The birdies are cute as well ; )

I LOVE Washi tape!

I am loving the new Washi Tape that Stampin' Up! brought out in the This and That product line. I have not used Washi Tape before so this was all new to me. I am having a lot of fun with it and will need to order more before I run out! Here is a sample using Washi and ribbon.
I used Pool Party Seam Binding ribbon, laying it flat and put the Calypso Coral Washi Tape on the ribbon. Then I made a ruffle by pleating the ribbon as I laid it down on the cardstock. Because the Washi Tape is sticky backed, I did not need any other adhesive. Isn't that a fun look?!
The Washi Tape has a honeycomb design on it which goes nicely with our Honeycomb Embossing Folder! I love Stampin' Up!s coordinating products - how many times have I said that! The stamp set I used is the new A Round Array, a set which will be in the new 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! Catalog but is being offered now as a Sneak Peek.  Click Here to View the Details

Supplies Used
Stamps - A Round Array
Cardstock - Whisper White, Pool Party Core'dinations Cardstock, Crumb Cake
Ink - Pool Party, Calypso Coral
Accessories - Pool Party Bakers Twine, Washi Tape from the This and That product line, Pool Party Seam Binding Ribbon, 7/8" Scallop Punch, Dimentionals

Stamp of the Month Blog Tour: April

It's that time of the month for the Stamp of the Month blog Tour! This tour features the stamp set Secret Garden, a beautiful flower set that has coordinating Framelits  making it easy to stamp and cut out the flowers! Enjoy the tour and my designs!

Coordinating Secret Garden Stamp Set + Secret Garden Framelits = two products at a 15% savings!

 Simply stamped with ribbon accent
Colors - Crumb Cake, Baja Breeze, Whisper White

This is a joy fold card design
Base cardstock is 4-1/4"x 8 scored at 2-1/2, Baja Breeze ( blue ) piece is 3x8 scored at 4", 2-3/4 x 4 designer paper for front flap, 4 x 5-1/4 designer paper for inside card, 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Whisper White for outside flap and inside of card.
Colors and supplies - Certainly Celery, Baja Breeze, Whisper White, Twitterpated Designer Series Paper, Petite Pairs Stamp Set

Here I used the Flower Garden Embossing Folder on Pool Party Core'dinations cardstock. The Core'dinations stock is sandable for an antiqued, distressed look and has texture on one side and smooth on the other. The inside layer is white. When embossed with a folder, the white layer shows through. I did very little sanding.
I stamped my flower image, cut them randomly and placed them over the embossed image. I LOVE the look of this card!
Colors and Supplies - Whisper White, Pool Party, Whisper White Organza Ribbon, Thoughts of You stamp set

Jazz up a plain paper bag

I made the top by cutting a piece of Crumb Cake stock 8-1/2 x 8 ( my bag is 8" wide ) I used the Adorning Accents Framelit to cut the scalloped edge - I did have to cut three times, then embossed using the Stripes Embossing Folder. To get the slit on top to put over the handles I used the Word Window Punch.
Colors and Supplies - Crumb Cake, Gumball Green, Perfect Plum, Taffeta Ribbon, bag from Target

I made this card to go with the bag but decided that the cardstock did not coordinate like I wanted. I can use the card another time. The For You in the center of the flower is from the A Round Array Stamp stamp set which will be in the new 2013-2014 Stampin' Up! Catalog but is offered now.

Just a fun little 3x3 gift tag!
Colors - Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Lucky Limeade

Thanks for stopping by, you are now off to Anne Matasci's blog.

This and That Meets A Round Array

I'm in love with the Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper! I paired it here with the A Round Array stamp set. Each image was stamped on Crumb Cake cardstock and punched using the 7/8" Scallop Punch.
For this image, I stamped two of the images from A Round Array stamp set, one in Baja Breeze and the other in Calypso Coral - that image was punched using the 1/2" circle punch which then fit perfectly in the center. All the images were then layered on pieces of Baja Breeze cardstock that I punched out with the 1-1/4" Scallop Punch. Coordinating punches make designing so easy! To get the look of that scallop here is what I did....
Scrunch the 1-1/4" punched scallop into a tight ball
Unravel it and then pull it apart. If it doesn't pull apart easily, scrunch some more
You are then left with two pieces of rough cardstock that adds texture to your design
Supplies Used
Stamps - A Round Array
Cardstock - Baja Breeze, Crumb Cake
Ink - Calypso Coral, Baja Breeze
Paper - Epic Day This and That Designer Series Paper
Accessories - Calypso Coral Ruffled Ribbon, 7/8", 1-1/4", 1/2" punches, Epic Day This and That Washi Designer Tape, Glue Dots, Dimentionals

This and That Book

I had a bit of time to play around with my This and That collection. Click HERE to view my post about the This and That products. All I had time for was to decorate the front of the spiral notebook. I did not want to cover the entire front of the book because I like the honeycomb shapes, so, I picked a spot and just started to place things.
I chose a couple of stickers from the sticker sheets that come with the This and That Bundle and just placed them down. I added Washi Tape which is the coolest thing ever! What I like is how easy it is to rip and also take up if you do not like where it is placed. The button and piece of ribbon on the button is actually from Sale a Bration. The honeycomb shaped paper is from the Epic Day Designer paper- you guessed it, from the This and That Bundle. The paper is to die for!!

These next photo's show a few pages inside the book. There is a pocket that has two envelopes which can be used to tuck away memorabilia. Each page has a different design on it. I will be filling the pages soon so be sure to come back to check and see what I've done!

Tomorrow's post will show you a CARD that I made using the This and That Products.
