Valentine Treat Bag

Here is a quick Valentine project to make to fill with treats or a gift card perhaps. I created this adorable little bag using the Sketched Dots Gift Bags and Designer papers, punches and a few embellishments.


I started with a belly band - a strip of Designer Paper from the Neutrals Paper Stack. Punched circles and hearts from paper in the Love Blossoms Paper Stack. The embellishments are from the Love Blossoms Embellishment Kit.


Oh, did you notice the Blushing Bride Glimmer Paper? I made a little banner out of a scrap piece and tucked it behind the circles and hearts. It is a lovely pink color and coordinates perfectly with the Love Blossoms Paper Stack.

Rose Wonder Birthday Card, Weekly Deals and the East Coast Blizzard of 2016

Winter has arrived here in PA and it seems we had all our snowfall in one day with record breaking amounts! I am not a lover of snow so I cannot wait until it all melts! I think it's going to take a while.

My plan was to hunker down in my studio and stamp the weekend away while it was snowing outside BUT I was outside shoveling instead. Oh well, it was good exercise and I was able to spend the day Monday in my studio creating.







Rose Wonder Stamp Set and Rose Garden Thinlits Dies

Tips for Making This Card
  • Colors - Calypso Coral, Old Olive
  • I first water colored on a piece of Stampin' Up!'s Watercolor Paper using an Aqua-Painter and ink. 
  • Using the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies, I cut out the rose on a piece of Shimmer cardstock. 
  • Once my water coloring was dry, I used the Fine Tip Glue and adhered the cut out rose to the top of the card front. 
  • The Happy Birthday was inked in Basic Black Ink and stamped on a piece of watercolor paper and cut out using another of the Rose Garden Dies. 
  • A bit of Gold Thread behind the words adds interest. 
 Don't forget to make the inside of your card pretty. Here I stamped just the leaf image and then hand cut around it. Something different.

Flowering Fields Stamp Set and Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper

I'm a sucker for adorable little note cards and when I saw these cards in a weekly update that Stampin' Up! Demonstrators receive, I knew that I would be making them.

Tips to Making the Note Cards:
  • Each note card uses the same measurements of paper and cardstock. I used several of the designs. 
  • Cut a piece of Wildflower Designer Paper to fit the front of the note card at 3-1/2 x 5. 
  • Wrap a piece of Crushed Curry Bakers Twine around the paper, then adhere the paper to the front of the card. Tie a bow. 
  • Stamp the flower image in Basic Black ink on a piece of Whisper White thick cardstock measuring 1-3/4 x 3-1/2. 
  • Color flower images using a blender pen and ink. 
  • The various sentiments are from the Crazy About You Stamp Set. 
  • Each envelope is lined with the paper after cutting it out with the Envelope Liner Framelits Dies. 
  • I used a scrap of the same liner paper to make a banner to layer under the stamped image that measures 3/4 x 1-1/2. 
Very simple design = adorable note cards!
