Stitched Stockings

I'll get away from the Gently Falling samples and show a Christmas card idea using another of my favorite stamp sets from the Holiday Mini called Stitched Stockings. There are 5 different stocking shaped designs to use. The great thing about this set is that there is a coordinating punch to punch out the stocking! Woo Hoo Stampin' Up! It's so much fun using this set to make all kinds of different looking stockings. Not only that, it can be used to make baby cards as well. The stocking can be made to look like booties! Stay tuned for samples of those.

Did you notice the Mini Jingle Bell? Isn't that cute? Those are available in the Holiday Mini Catalog as well. I tied it on a piece of Linen Thread and then adhered it to the card with a glue dot. The Cherry Cobbler background cardstock was run through the Big Shot using the Snow Burst Embossing Folder found in the Mini Catalog as well! This was one of the cards we made at my recent Christmas Stamp-a-Stack class.

Supplies:
Stamp Sets - Stitched Stockings, Christmas Greetings
Cardstock - Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler, Confetti White
Ink - Crumb Cake, Cherry Cobbler
Accessories - Mini Jingle Bells, Quilted Satin Ribbon, Linen Thread, Stocking Builder Punch, Snow Burst Embossing Folder

Spice Cake

Today's sample uses the lovely Spice Cake Designer Series Paper. I love the colors and designs in this paper! Don't you love the huge Spice Cake Designer Button? Stampin' Up! makes it so easy to create by having coordinating products. The colors in the paper are Pool Party, More Mustard, Soft Suede, Very Vanilla. The buttons come in the same colors except for the Very Vanilla. I love this combination.

Notice the center of the button. That is fabric! Of course it would be Spice Cake Designer Fabric! The prints in the fabric match some of the prints in the paper. There are three fat quarter pieces that measure 27x18 so you get lots of fabric to use for your sewing projects or embellishments on cards and other craft projects.
Supply List:

Gently Falling Stamp Set
Spice Cake Designer Paper, Fabric and Buttons
So Saffron and Pool Party Cardstock
Versamark Ink
Scallop Edge Border Punch

More Gently Falling

Another Gently Falling sample for you today. I cased this design from another demonstrator and I'm sorry that I do not remember who. I do a lot of blog hopping and forget where I've been. I did change a few things on my design but cannot take full credit for this. What I love is that I can use the outline stamps on their own or with the background as I did on the single leaf that I cut out and tied to Linen Thread. This stamp set comes in Wood Mount or Clear Mount. I am loving the Clear Mount stamps. Again, the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper is a new favorite!

Gently Falling

One of my new favorite stamp sets is in the new Holiday Mini Catalog called Gently Falling. Isn't that a great name! This is a Two Step stamp. If you are familiar with Stampin' Up! you will know the Two Step method. If you are not, let me explain. You stamp the background of an image in a lighter color ink and then stamp the detailed image on top in a darker color ink. Each image can be used separately, but when they are together, the image comes alive!

As you can see in the leaf print on this card, the color of the leaf is stamped first, then the detail is stamped on top. I used the Spice Cake Designer Series Paper which coordinates nicely with this set. I pulled the colors for the leaves from the paper.

Supplies
Gently Falling Stamp Set
Petite Pairs Stamp Set
Crumb Cake card & Confetti White Cardstock
Pair Pizzazz, More Mustard, Pool Party, Early Espresso Ink
Early Espresso Scallop Dots Ribbon
Decorative Label Punch

Simply Scrappin' Kits

Today's sample uses one of the new Simply Scrappin' Kits, Country Club. These kits are not just for making scrapbook pages. They can be used for making cards or decorating bags and gift items as I've done here. This was a gift I gave to a friend for her birthday. I bought the candle at Target. Since it was plain, I knew I could jazz it up with designer paper and accessories. Of course the bag needed to coordinate!

The gift was a hit!  The ribbon I used is not in the kit. For the candle I sued Denim Jean Ribbon and on the bag Lucky Limeade Ruffled Ribbon.

Pennant Parade

Well, first of all let me say that I have neglected my blog. Oh my goodness it has been a long time since I posted. I guess I really do not have any good excuse. Summer has been busy and I LOVE summer so I spend as much time outside that I can. Still no excuse. Let's see if I can actually start posting more often now. It is a goal of mine to do that!

Today's sample uses a stamp set called Pennant Parade This was a set that was in a bundle that I received for FREE as a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator! Love that perk! I wasn't sure that I liked it at first but when I started playing with it, I started to fall in love. As you see from the samples, I used it to decorate cupcakes for my daughters birthday. How fun!

Aren't they cute?! The color scheme all started with the cupcake liners that I had in my cupboard. I matched them with my Stampin' Up! colors to create the little pennants. Yes, we have a color that coordinates with anything! Ha! Then of course I had to color the frosting to coordinate. The most amazing thing was that I had the plates and napkins in my stash of paper products in my pantry and they matched perfectly!

So after the cupcakes were done I wasn't going to throw away all those little pennants that I worked so hard on so I removed them from the toothpicks to save for another project. I decided to make a card with some of them.

I thought it turned out so nice! I forgot to mention that Stampin' Up! makes it so easy by having a punch that coordinates with the stamp set. After stamping the pennant, you punch it out! Way easier than cutting. I love that about Stampin' Up! product : )

Supplies used:

Stamp set - Pennant Parade, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Cardstock - Tangerine Tango, Pool Party, Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, So Saffron ( for butterfly )
Ink - Lucky Limeade, Pool Party, Tangerine Tango
Accessories - Petite Pennants Builder punch, Itty Bitty shapes punch, Beautiful Wings embosslits Die for Big Shot, Stripes Embossing Folder for Big Shot, Bakers Twine in white, Decorative Label punch, Basic Pearls
