Make a Medallion Sale a Bration

I LOVE this new stamp set from Stampin' Up! - Make a Medallion stamp set is one of the three NEW Sale a Bration products that can be selected for Free with a qualifying order! Yay! I did copy this idea from the cover of the new Sale a Bration flyer - with a little twist.

This is a two - step layering process that is so easy to do to create beautiful images! It also coordinates with the Layering Circles Framelits Dies from Stampin' Up! Perfect for cutting around the image. Isn't that great!

For this medallion, I did do a bit of fussy cutting because I wanted to cut out the middle section to reveal the stamped image on the cardstock. I also cut around the scallop edges. The other two medallions were cut using the circle framelits Dies.

Here's the twist. I mounted my Soft Sky card front onto a Peekaboo Peach card base. I love this look! So that the inside is cheery too, when opened, I stamped the edge of a piece of Whisper White cardstock with one of the layering stamps in the set and adhered it.

The colors are so soft and pretty and all set to send to a friend for any occasion.

Bloomin' Love Card

Here is a quick and easy card to make suitable for Valentines Day or any occasion - birthday, anniversary, wedding, friendship.

I must admit, the Bloomin' Love stamp set has been sitting on my shelf being neglected. This set has so many pretty designs in it and it does coordinate with the Bloomin' Heart Thinlits Dies and the Large Numbers Framelits Dies ( cuts out the banner on the card ).

I stamped the heart using Blushing Bride ink all over my Whisper White cardstock which is cut at 3-3/4" x 5". I adhered that to my card base - Sahara Sand cut lengthwise at 4-1/4. The beautiful polka dot overlay is a piece of the Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate. Isn't it gorgeous! This acetate comes with three different designs and it is gold on one side and silver on the other! So you have choices. Love that!

The acetate is cut 4"x 5-1/4" so it is a bit larger than the white. I used  MultiPurpose Liquid Glue and dotted it on the back of a few of the gold dots and stuck it down. This way you don't see any glue. Only use a tiny bit though so it doesn't spread.

I added Blushing Bride Baker's Twine, wrapping twice around my card before tying a bow. I stamped the banner using Blushing Bride ink onto a piece of Blushing Bride cardstock and stamped my sentiment in Sahara Sand ink, then cut it out using the coordinating Framelit from the Large Numbers Framelits Dies, then adhered it using glue dots.

Don't forget to stamp the inside of your cards! That adds a nice surprise for the person opening it and just finishes off the card nicely.

Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog and Sale - a - Bration!

The Stampin' Up! Occasions Catalog 2017 is now live! You are going to love it! It's filled with  new product that will help you to create beautiful and amazing projects!

My FAVORITE new product in this catalog is the Dragonfly Dreams stamp set and coordinating Detailed Dragonfly Thinlits Dies.

Look at the detail in this set! The bee is an added bonus!! You do need a Big Shot of course for the Thinlits but the stamp set is just as useful and versatile if you do not own a Big Shot. The dies make it easy to cut out the images. I will say that my Big Shot is THE most used tool in my studio. I use it all the time.

For this card I paired the Dragonfly Dreams with the new scrumptious Falling in Love Designer Series paper. It's just gorgeous! The Fabulous Foil Designer Acetate I used in the background makes this card a wow.

Paisleys & Posies Thankful, Grateful, Blessed card

A quick and easy card made using the Paisleys & Posies stamp set and coordinating Paisleys Framelits Dies. These two products come together in a bundle with a 10% savings, or they can be purchased separately. I also used a touch of the Petals & Paisleys Designer Paper.

Here are the details:
  • Cajun Craze card base - 4-1/4" x 11", scored at 5-1/2" and folded for the card
  • Very Vanilla cardstock layer - 3-1/2" x 5-1/2"
  • Petals & Paisleys paper - 1/2" x 5-1/2" and adhered to the sides of the vanilla cardstock
  • Ink colors - Mint Macaron, Night of Navy, Delightful Dijon, Cajun Craze, Rich Razzleberry, Soft Suede
  • I stamped three of the images and cut them out using the matching framelit and popped them up on the card with dimensionals
What I love most about Stampin' Up!'s Designer Series Papers, besides the designs, is easily picking a color scheme for my project based on the colors in the paper which of course are our exclusive colors. I just grab my ink pads and cardstock and create!
