Apothecary Art

I was browsing the stamped ideas in the new Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 catalog ( going live June 2 ) and came across this idea. I basically copied exactly how it was except for the flower. The catalog is a great resource of ideas!

To make the flower:
  • Punch about six scallops using the Creped Filter Paper and the 1-3/4" Scallop Circle Punch
  • Using a sponge dauber and ink of choice, sponge each scallop with the color
  • Layer scallops together and punch a hole in the center and place a brad to hold together
  • Scrunch each scallop layer until you get a nice fluffy flower

Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards

In the Occasions Catalog on page 22 are these wonderful, 3 1/2 x 5 Watercolor Wonder Designer Note Cards and Envelopes. There are 20 printed cards on watercolor paper ready to be stamped and embellished!

They really are spectacular! A nice heavy weight cardstock and lovely designs. I had a fun time recently stamping and embellishing the note cards. Some designs were inspired by others I saw on Pinterest or other places while I was surfing the web. Check them out!

I used the Spiral Flower Originals Die for the Big Shot to create the flower using Watercolor Wonder Designer Series Paper The hello comes from Four You stamp set. A button and bakers twine finish the look.

I think this is my favorite printed design on these note cards. I stamped and embellished using the Happy Watercolor stamp set found in the Occasions Catalog. In fact, everything used on this card can be found in the Occasions Catalog. The Angled Tag Topper Punch was used to make the tag. I added Watercolor Wonder Designer Washi Tape and Gold Bakers Twine.

Love the pre-printed roses. A simple thank you from the Four You stamp set, Silver 1/8" Ribbon and Rhinestone Brads finish the design.

THIS is my favorite card! It's my favorite because it reminds me of one of my good friends Dot. She says Yippee-Skippee! I have never heard anyone say that - haha! When I saw this stamp set in the catalog I immediately thought of her as you can imagine! The inside says, you can never have to much happy. I used the Banners Framelits ( from Occasions Catalog ) to make the sweat banners using Daffodil Delight and Crisp Cantaloupe cardstock. The blue stripe banner uses chevron Ribbon in Marina Mist. I think I will be sending this off to Dot soon!

I stamped an image from the Happy Watercolor set on the card base using Black Stazon Ink. Other images were stamped on Whisper White and cut out using the Deco Labels Collection Framilits.
