Day of Gratitude

It is a Day of Gratitude. For the beautiful weather- blue skies, sun and warmth. I'm having 20 family members over for lunch today as well to celebrate three birthdays. We always have so much fun and for that I am grateful as well. I think it will be warm enough to spill out onto the deck and enjoy this Fall day!

My samples today use the stamp set Day of Gratitude found in the Holiday Mini Catalog. It is one of my favorite. I love that it coordinates with the Autumn Spice Designer Paper and the Autumn Spice 8x8 scrapbook album. All found  in the Holiday Mini. I was fortunate to get this stamp set for free because I attended a Stampin' Up! Regional. It was part of our registration. We used it to stamp these beautiful samples. I hope you enjoy them.

Supplies Used:
Stamp Set - Day of Gratitude
Cardstock - Old Olive, Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso
Ink - Old Olive, Early Espresso, Cajun Craze, River Rock
Accessories - Old Olive Satin Ribbon, Basic Pearls, Mini Library Clips

Where Have I Been?

Oh my goodness I know it has been a long time since I've posted anything on my blog. Where is she you may have asked?! Well, I started a journey to good health at the end of March and that has been my focus. I joined my local YMCA and have been going 5 days a week for the past 6 months. I choose to workout 2-3 hours a day. It may sound excessive but for me that is what works. I have lost 60 lbs to date and over 30 inches! I am feeling better than I've felt in years!

It's time to get back to going to my stamp room and creating! Now that summer is over and the chilly weather is upon us and I'm not outside every afternoon, it's easier to stay inside and stamp! So, I have been creating and will be sharing what I've made with all of you. Be sure to check back to see what I've done. Now, it may not be every day that I post but I promise I will post often!

This card I'm sharing today was a swap that I made for a recent Stampin' Up! Regional event I attended in Baltimore last weekend. It was so much fun and I was thrilled they had the event so close to home. At these events we get new ideas, learn new techniques, get great business ideas and share with other demonstrators. I made 40 swap cards which meant I received 40 swaps back with wonderful ideas to use!

The stamp set I used comes from the Holiday Mini Catalog which you can access on the right side of my blog. It's a beautiful set and I'll be sharing another card or two that I made using it. Enjoy the sample for today!
Stamp Set - French Foliage
Cardstock - Cajun Craze, Early Espresso, Old Olive, Very Vanilla
Ink - Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Crumbcake ( for words over leaf image ), Soft Suede
Accessories - Background 1 Texturz Plate for the Big Shot ( swirls on the espresso cardstock ), Early Espresson 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.

Welcome Neighbor

My creative juices were flowing yesterday!  I wondered what I would do with the Welcome Neighbor designer paper in the Stampin' Up! sale-a-bration brochure. I was inspired by many different samples I saw and started creating.

The Trendy Trees stamp set coordinates nicely with this paper. I stamped the three trees on whisper white in Bermuda Bay, Old Olive and Melon Mambo. I used Chocolate Chip for the tree trunks. This was layered on top of Old Olive that I punched using the new Scallop Trim Border punch which also is a FREE selection from the sale-a-bration brochure. Don't you love it?!
What is nice about the double sided paper is that you can fold it over to showcase the other side as I did in this sample. The houses and trees are the printed paper. I folded over the top to expose the other side. The only thing stamped are the words. Easy Peasy card to do!
In this sample I used a frame from the Hodgepodge Hardware kit to highlight one of the trees.
I love all the little houses! The stamp used here is from Happy Moments, another FREE sale-a-bration selection : )
The Good Neighbors stamp set in the sab brochure coordinates with this paper as well.
