Choose Happiness - number 2

  • Another Choose Happiness design. Colors are Coastal Cabana and Crushed Curry. The bird was stamped in Baked Brown Sugar.
  • I used Coaster Board and cut it out using the Party Pennants Bigz die for the banner.
  • Just a small piece of doily on top of the Pennant adds a sweet touch.
  • Leaves are inked in Coastal Cabana, stamped on Coastal Cabana. I used Dimensionals to layer that piece onto my Coastal Cabana card base. I love the tone on tone look.

Choose Happiness

When I saw this stamp set in the new Stampin' Up! 2014-2015 Catalog I knew that I had to order it! The name of the set caught my eye first - then the sweet and simple stamp designs. I've been having a lot of fun playing with the set and I will post each sample that I've done, so stay tuned!

How I made this card
  •  I used Versamark ink to stamp a background on the crumb cake card base. Versamark gives a subtle watermark look.
  • The leaves were stamped using the new Memento Ink pad and colored in with the new Blenabilities Markers. I am sad to say that these products are not yet available to you BUT will be soon. I will keep you updated.
  • The bird was first inked in Crisp Cantaloupe ink and then I rolled the edges of the inked stamp in Calypso Coral ink.
  • The new Typeset Designer Paper is fabulous to work with! It is thin, just like a book page. It makes a great banner here.
  • I love, love, love the Seam Binding Ribbon! I choose the Soft Sky which blends well with the colors on the card giving it a soft feel.
  • Did you notice the nest underneath the bird? I just took the Linen Thread and bunched it up and glued it down.
I like how this card turned out. What do you think? Leave me a comment and let me know!
