For All Things Stamp Set and Curvy Keepsake Box

My card design inspiration came from the ribbon I used on my card. The Natural 5/8" Chevron Ribbon is a soft white and crumb cake ( color of our cardstock ) color. To pick the colors for my card was easy then! Not your typical Fall colors, but pretty I think.

  • I decided to use the Chevron Embossing folder on the Whisper White layer which ties into the Chevron ribbon. I LOVE that Stampin' Up! has coordinating products to do this!
  •  I wanted to keep the colors of the acorns soft, so I used two colors of Stampin' Write Markers - Soft Suede for the top of the acorn and Crumb Cake for the bottom.
  •  I inked and stamped once, then stamped two more times without re-inking to get the shadow effect.
  • Don't you love the little wooden leaf elements? I used a bit of Linen Thread to tie the oak leaf around the ribbon and a glue dot to secure the acorn.
How cute is this little box! This was made with the Curvy Keepsake Box Thinlits Die which is in the Holiday Catalog on page 11. I was not going to buy this but then I started seeing so many cute boxes made with this die on Pinterest and HAD to get it. Does that happen to you?

This is my little pumpkin box.
  • After cutting the pieces for the box, I grabbed my Gorgeous Grunge stamp set and used one of the stamps in that set to stamp on the box. I wanted to make the box look like a pumpkin so this did the trick I think.
  • The leaves were cut from the Autumn Accents Bigz die ( for the Big Shot ) in Mossy Meadow.
  • To finish the box I used a piece of Chevron Ribbon, Linen Thread to tie the wood accent piece on and then put the leaves in place.
  • Of course, before you put the box together, fill it with yummy candy!
There are many, many ideas on Pinterest using the Curvy Keepsake Box die. I am amazed at how people's minds work to think of some of the designs I have seen!
