Happy New Year and Occasions Catalog Sneak Peeks!

 
Happy New Year to you! I have had a very busy holiday season with family and friends and I have not had much time to be in my studio creating. I sure miss that. With a new year comes a new catalog! The 2016 Occasions Catalog debuts January 5 as well as Sale - A - Bration - the BIGGEST sales promotion of the year with Stampin' Up! How exciting!

I have a couple of sneak peeks for you. One from the Occasions Catalog and from the Sale - A - Bration catalog, the Honeycomb Happiness stamp set featuring the cute little chick you see above. I do not usually like the "cutsie" stamp sets, but this little guy is irresistible! Don't you agree!

See his little puffy belly? That is a new embellishment in the Occasions Catalog - Honeycomb Embellishments. They come in 3 colors. Blushing Bride, Mint Macaron and White. I colored the white one by spritzing it with my spritzer and a mixture of Daffodil Delight ink and rubbing alcohol.

I colored in the little chick using an Aqua-painter and re-inker. This little guy is just to sweet!


This card uses the Birthday Blooms stamp set from the Occasions Catalog. One of my new favorites from the Birthday Bouquet Suite.

I cased this design from a sample in the recent Stampin' Success Magazine, a magazine that demonstrators receive filled with business tips and ideas.

The beautiful rose image was stamped on a piece of Cardstock Vellum using the StazOn White ink pad. I colored the image from behind with my Stampin' Write Markers. Coloring behind the image so it faces down when you adhere it to your card, assures that it will not smudge. I used Washi Tape to adhere the vellum to my card front.
