Two Different Card Designs From One Starting Point

I found this card design on the Stampin' Up! blog and thought it was so cute I decided to create it myself. I basically copied it!
  • My card base is a Crumb Cake notecard ( 3-1/2 x 5 ) I stamped my image in the center of the card base using one of the stamps from the Cheerful Christmas stamp set, in Old Olive ink.
  •  Whisper White cardstock - 2-3/4 x 4 the same stamp I inked with versamark, sprinkled with white emboss powder over it and heated with my heat gun  to emboss it.
  •  I punched that piece out using the Tree Punch, put dimensionals on the back of the white piece and placed it on my card base.
  • The Noel stamp came from the Bright & Beautiful stamp set using  Real Red ink on a scrap piece of Whisper White and cut it into a banner shape. I adhered that with a glue dot.
  • A scrap of Real Red Satin Woven Ribbon and a Linen Thread bow on my punched out star complete the look.
So..I had this punched out embossed tree and knew I had to create another card with it.......

This design is very different, but I love how it turned out!
  • Whisper White card base 4-1/4 x 5-1/2
  • Very Vanilla piece 5-1/4 x 4 - I used the Circles Framelits to cut the circle and then embossed using the On Point Textured Impressions Embossing Folder.
  • The words are from the Festival of Trees stamp set and cut out using one of the frames from the Bitty Banners Framelits set.
  • I cut a piece of Gold Satin Ribbon ( it is scrumptious! ) to match the banner.
  • Added a few sequins from the Gold Sequin Trim to add a little sparkle.
  • Two card designs from one starting point. Two different looks. I love how that works out!
