Happy Birthday Card Samples

In my blog post from yesterday which you can see HERE, I mentioned that I would show how I used parts of the Sweet Threads Simply Sent kit to make other samples. Here are two that I made.

As you can see I used the cross-stitched cupcake and cut it out with one of the shapes from the Apothecary Accents Framelits set. I also cut one of the printed cards in the kit to use as a layered piece on this card. I wanted a vintage feel to the card so I used a Paper Doily and sponged it with Crumb Cake ink. The bow uses leftover thread from the kit and the Happy Birthday was stamped and then cut free hand. I love the look of this card!

For this card I used the printed card as my base and the Best of Birthdays stamp set. For the banners I used my favorite paper- Print Poetry Designer Paper Stack. This card makes me smile and I hope it puts a smile on the face of the person who receives it as well!
